Its time for sports fans to rejoice – the Super Bowl is finally here! As of writing this its just a matter of 4 hrs 42 minutes before the frenzy starts!

Because Superbowl is such a diverse game it is difficult to track down an official time but NBC, the broadcasters of Superbowl give 6.00 PM as the kickoff time.

Superbowl.com which is the official website of Superbowl and redirects to NFL.com lists the kickoff time at 6.20 PM and it is being counted as official as it comes directly from the horses mouth.

In reality the?Super Bowl 2009 kickoff will probably be a little after 6:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. Last year it was at 6.32 PM.

Despite what official times everyone is tooting about it doesn’t harm to get glued early as the excitement can’t be beaten. And this year it is taking place in Tampa, Florida which should be even more fun!
